The Nuneaton store says “we’re open” amid eight-week refurbishment

A shop in Nuneaton has said “we’re open” amid an eight-week refurbishment. Deakin Chemist has been a well-known feature on Manor Court Road for decades.

It is undergoing renovations, which will take around two months, and its manager, Natasha Ison, was keen to stress to customers that they will remain open.

“We want to tell our customers not to worry that we’re closing,” she said. “The service will continue as normal and there will be a member of staff stationed outside the store to assist.”

She went on to add that the eight-week change should make a big difference for their customers. “Deakin’s hopes that this refurbishment will provide disabled access to the store and we will be able to offer more and better services in the future and blood pressure checks,” she said.

“We want to thank everyone for their patience and support.”
