Played by Eric Winter, Tim Bradford is a fan-favorite television character from the ABC show rookie. Officer Bradford has been a main character in the 2018 series, with notable changes in his career and personal life. Born in 1980, Tim Bradford was 30 years old when the show started. A quick trip down memory lane reveals that she grew up in a broken home with an abusive father. his father, Tom Bradford, he was an alcoholic, a condition that made him verbally and physically abusive. In a flashback scene rookie season 4 episode 8 “Hit and Run”, Tom bashed 7-year-old Bradford’s head into a wall. He also left young Bradford in a park to find his way home using only a compass.

Officer Bradford’s childhood experiences traumatized and hardened him—part of the reason he avoids personal conversations. He also vowed to be different from his father in every aspect of his life. The series only received one season before being canceled, with Tim Bradford appearing as a crossover character in The Rookie. Also played by Winter in a special appearance, Bradford joined the cast of The Rookie Feds in episode 4 “To Die For” as the LAPD’s liaison sergeant between the elite Metro Division and its original Mid-Wilshire Division.

Instead of pursuing a professional football career, Bradford chose to serve in the United States Army. Bradford rose to the rank of sergeant in his military career. He was also a squad leader with ten soldiers under his command and served at least two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before completing his tour of duty. There are also references to him fighting in either the First or Second Battle of Fallujah in 2004.

5. His ex-wife, Isabel, was fired for drug addiction

Bradford was married to Isabel Bradford (Mircea Monroe), a former Gangs & Narcotics detective serving at another precinct when they met and fell in love. Unfortunately, Isabela’s exploits as an undercover officer in the volatile world of narcotics have turned her into a drug addict. When all efforts to turn her life around failed, she was fired from the LAPD. However, Tim stayed with her until her addiction affected their marriage.

6. Tim Bradford is the strictest of the training officers
