Chelsea have contacted Leicester over a potential move for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca worked with Dewsbury-Hall last season when Leicester won the Championship title and is keen to reunite with the midfielder.

If Dewsbury-Hall had left Leicester then Chelsea would be the only club he would have wanted to join. Chelsea are yet to make a formal bid for the 25-year-old, who is valued at around £40m by Leicester.

Maresca believes Dewsbury-Hall is a perfect fit for the style of football he wants to play.

Dewsbury-Hall and Maresca are also signed to the same agency, Wasserman.

As well as loan spells at Blackpool and Luton, Dewsbury-Hall has spent his entire career so far at Leicester and has made over 100 appearances for the Foxes.

Last season was a productive one for Dewsbury-Hall, who scored 12 league goals.

Brentford and Brighton are also interested in Dewsbury-Hall.

The Blues have an agreement in principle to sign 18-year-old Barcelona forward Marc Guiu.

Leicester are under pressure to sell due to ongoing PSR concerns.

Chelsea are also interested in Leeds prospect Archie Gray and are one of several clubs to have inquired about the 18-year-old.
