The scheme for 450 flats in Birmingham city center has been approved

Developer Rochda Group is leading the plan to revitalize a derelict 7.1 acre former railway site at Winson Green with just over 450 apartments.

Designed by Whittam Cox Architects, the development will offer a mix of private and affordable housing and green public spaces.

Buildings range in height from five to nine storeys, with many of the ground floor apartments having private garden areas.

Ronald Whitehouse, director at Rochda Group, said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Whittam Cox Architects on this development.

“Their experience and dedication have been invaluable in realizing our vision. Together, we have created a transformative project that not only addresses the need for affordable housing, but also improves the fabric of the community.
