The north London police charged for the theft of the body

A serving police officer has been charged with misconduct in public service.

PC Craig Carter, who is attached to the northern area command unit covering Enfield and Haringey, has been charged and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday (28).

The charge relates to the alleged theft of money from a man who died in a crash in September 2022.

Following the allegation, PC Carter was suspended from duty.
