Accident at Croydon Hospital live as main road blocked with London buses diverted

An accident near Croydon Hospital saw London Road in Thornton Heath blocked.

Traffic is said to be backed up after the road was blocked in both directions. The severity of the accident is not yet known.

The section of London Road closed is between the hospital and Canterbury Road, traffic website Inrix reports.

Six London buses remain on the diversion: 60, 64, 109, 198, 250 and 289.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) has been contacted for comment.
