Leeds United will have a battle on their hands to fend off interest in Archie Gray this summer, with up to four elite clubs chasing his signature.

The Whites are ready for the Eagles to come full circle as they failed to chase Premier League football last season.

Top of the agenda for a potential move is of course Archie Gray, a year on from his breakthrough under Daniel Farke in midfield.

Fabrizio Romano shares Archie Gray’s transfer exit update

Amid growing reports of Chelsea’s interest in Gray, Fabrizio Romano added to those claims and said two more Premier League clubs are in the running.

Manchester United and Tottenham are also in the running for the 18-year-old, along with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano provided this update:

“For Archie Gray, I can tell you Chelsea scouted the player, he’s certainly a player they value, but so are Borussia Dortmund.

“Dortmund is closely monitoring Gray’s situation. At the moment no offer, just interest and we will see what clubs like Manchester United and others do in this situation because many other clubs are looking for the player.

“But at the moment the two clubs with concrete interest in Chelsea and Dortmund but for example Tottenham have been following the player closely, so let’s see who will move in terms of the offer, but nothing official yet for Leeds United. “

Will Leeds be promoted next season?

The chances of Gray looking slimmer for Leeds

It has to be a concern when there is such a volume of transfer interest in your young star and you have no Premier League football to offer.

Monster deals are coming soon for Gray, it’s inevitable, but the 49ers just need to make sure they maximize any sale if it happens.

It’s a deal that many fans wouldn’t take too well after only a year of seeing such talent in the first team, but it could set us up incredibly well.

We’ll have to wait and see how the 49ers react.
