Supercomputer makes Sheffield United shock prediction

Sheffield United suffered a dismal relegation from the Premier League last season and the latest predictions predicted the misery would continue to pour in at Bramall Lane.

The Blades were relegated straight back to the Championship after picking up just 16 points from 38 games in English football’s top flight. It was the fewest points collected by a team in the Premier League since Derby County collected just 11 in the 2007/08 campaign.

Adding insult to injury, the club have conceded more goals in a season than any other team in the competition’s 32-year history, allowing the opposition to score against them 104 times – a staggering average of 2.7 goals conceded per game.

The writer’s vision

Of course, when teams are relegated from the Premier League, they are automatically one of the favorites to come straight back up. However, Sheffield United are cash-strapped at the moment and will have to compete with Burnley, Leeds United and Hull City, who will have more money to spend this summer.

In addition, everyone in the championship will strengthen their teams in an attempt to achieve their own goals. The Blades could end up with a weaker team, which is why the Supercomputer wasn’t kind to them.
