Remaining public holidays for 2024 as new declared public holiday | Leicestershire Live

A new public holiday has been announced for the island of Jersey next month to commemorate the visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. It will mark the first visit by a reigning monarch to the island since the late Queen’s visit in 2005, and the holiday will cost Jersey taxpayers around £700,000 in wages to cover civil servants taking the day off, the BBC reported.

As Jersey operates as a self-governing island, distinct from the UK in many respects, mainland UK residents will not be granted the same holiday on 15 July. However, there are more bank holidays to look forward to in 2024, the Liverpool Echo reports.

But what are these public holidays? Well, here is the full list of bank holidays remaining in 2024 in England and Wales. There are also the first few for 2025 – just to make sure you’re fully aware.
