‘Club sources’: Update shared on Archie Gray’s worrying Leeds United sale – YEP

Talk of Archie Gray leaving Leeds United this summer is gathering pace at the moment, with top-flight and European clubs eyeing the 18-year-old sensation.

The Whites have another promotion run in the Championship in 24/25, but their side that had a whisker last season are likely to make major exits first.

Leeds fans will not want any of the squad to leave after a stunning season under Daniel Farke, not least Archie Gray who has the potential to not only go straight to the top but also become a cult hero at Elland Road.

‘Club sources’: Update shared on Archie Gray’s worrying Leeds United sale – YEP

Fabrizio Romano shared a key update on Gray this week, naming four clubs interested in the teenager this summer window.

Three from the Premier League are named in Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, while Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have also shown their admiration for Gray.

Gray is contracted until 2028 at Elland Road following his January deal, but Leeds may be forced to sell if a big enough fee comes in to balance their PSR position.

YEP: No offers yet for Gray, ‘club sources’ refuse to rule out sale

The YEP have now relayed claims of growing interest in Gray’s signature, but reveal there is no bid on the table for Leeds yet.

However, Paraag Marathe has previously insisted it is impossible to rule out a major sale this summer for Gray and ‘club sources’ are now underlining that notion.

Red Bull’s investment this month has strengthened Leeds’ position in terms of how they command a fee, but the idea has not yet been completely ruled out.

Like it or not, Gray’s sale could be on the cards at Leeds

If it were up to the club and Gray, with no financial problems, we’d have Gray as the first name on the team sheet next season.

He is a special talent and one who will go right to the top with the right development and Leeds is currently the best place for him.

That said, if the top clubs come in with money that Leeds’ bank balance could really benefit from, then we might see a sale.
