Royal Enfield has officially unveiled its upcoming 450cc roadster and yes, it will be called the ‘Guerilla’. The Chennai-based bike maker has also confirmed that it will make its global debut on July 17, 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. Through several social media posts from Royal Enfield handles, the company has confirmed the latest development.

Spy photos of this motorcycle have gone viral for almost two years. As mentioned in earlier reports, this 450cc roadster will be based on the same platform as the new generation Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The teaser images reveal a lot of visual details of the upcoming naked roadster.

Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Design and Expected Features

As seen in earlier spy shots, the Guerilla retains some Royal Enfield styling cues such as a round headlamp, circular offset instrument console and round rear-view mirrors. However, most of the components are brand new, such as the chiseled but muscular fuel tank, a floating tail section, one-piece seat, split grab rails, an underbelly skid plate and a drum exhaust pipe, just like the one seen in the Himalayas. 450.

In terms of features, the offset instrument cluster could be a partially digital LCD unit or a fully digital TFT unit, just like the Himalayan. Other expected features include Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, LED clips, multiple ride modes and a USB charging port.

Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Expected Hardware

From the images, it looks like the bike runs on both front and rear 17-inch alloy wheels, just like the Hunter 350, which add a touch of compactness, which are shod with block-pattern tyres. The teaser images show the Guerilla getting telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking duties will be handled by a front and rear disc brake.

Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Expected Powertrain Specs

Like the Himalayan 450, the Guerilla 450 will be powered by the same 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Sherpa series engine. In adventure engines, this engine churns out 39 PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 40 Nm at 5,500 rpm. However, for the upcoming roadster, it may get a different tuning with slightly different outputs. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.

Royal Enfield Guerilla 450: Prices Expected

In terms of price, we expect the Guerilla 450 to undercut its ADV sibling by some margin. It is likely to have a sticker price of around Rs 2.30 – 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
