Coventry BS reduces residential and BTL fixed rates

Coventry Building Society has reduced selected residential and buy-to-let (BTL) fixed rates by up to 0.21%.

Coventry Building Society’s residential fixed rates will be reduced by up to 0.21% and BTL rates will be reduced by around 0.15%.

Two-, three- and five-year fixed rates are available for residential applications, with 65% to 95% loan-to-value (LTV) products available.

Examples of discounts include two-year fixed rate at 85% LTV with £500 cashback at 5.34%. This is for first time buyers only.

The lender’s five-year fixed residential rate at 65% LTV is priced at 4.59%, with the option of a £350 repayment or mortgage transfer service.

Jonathan Stinton, Head of Intermediary Relations at Coventry Building Society, said: “We have reduced most of our fixed rates, further improving the choice we offer. It gives brokers a great opportunity to interact with their clients and advise them on the best options available.”

Coventry Building Society cut selected residential fixed rates by up to 0.3% earlier this month.

The lender has also agreed to buy The Co-operative Bank for a cash consideration of £780m, which will create a group with a balance sheet of £89bn.
