Schoolgirl taken to hospital after being hit by a car

A schoolgirl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Parthenon Drive in Norris Green at around 3.45pm today, June 28.




The 11-year-old schoolgirl was transported to the hospital following the accident. We don’t know the extent of her injuries.

As a result of the incident, bus services in the area were diverted via Townsend Avenue and East Lancashire Road. A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We can confirm that emergency services attended Norris Green following an RTC this afternoon, Friday 28 June.

“At around 3.45pm, officers were called to Parthenon Drive to reports of a collision involving a Ford Focus and an 11-year-old female pedestrian.

“The pedestrian was taken to hospital for evaluation of his injuries. The driver remained at the scene to assist with the enquiries.
