Coombe Abbey Park closes its car park as visitors flock to Coventry’s beauty spot

Motorists are being urged to stay away from Coombe Abbey Park. For the second consecutive day, the popular place was flooded with visitors.

So much so that the car parks at the venue, based on the outskirts of Coventry, had to close. Its grassy parking lots are “too wet” to park.

This has prompted the park to urge any visitors not to drive to the venue this afternoon as there is no place to park. A post at midday today (May 6) said: “Due to the high number of visitors our car park is now full (our grass car parks are simply too wet to park on). We have temporarily closed the parking lot due to limited numbers. parking places.”

It added: “Please do not travel to the park as we are unable to allow vehicles onto the site at this time. Please do not park on verges or in front of residential driveways as your vehicles are liable to be ticketed – this includes anglers parking which is not for general park visitors.”

But those with hotel, Go Ape and Hermit’s Hollow reservations will be able to park on site. “Please be prepared to show your booking confirmation upon entering the site,” the post adds.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding.” In warm weather, the park is always popular with visitors from around the area.
