The first look inside Illuminati bar on Park Street when it reopens

Park Street’s popular Illuminati cocktail bar reopened last night (June 28) after months of closure. Located at 9 Park Street, the venue closed its doors towards the end of 2023, but this week’s event has been dubbed its ‘rebirth’.

Featuring a bar, dance floor and cafe (the latter of which is not yet open), Illuminati is located in the former Java House and is known for its stunning floral walls and ceilings, as well as its wild and wonderful cocktail concoctions and thick cocktails. oak tables. And those who were fans of the venue before its closure in 2023 will be pleased to know that Illuminati has retained all of these features.

Inside the stunning venue, the decor almost transports you back in time, with dark wood walls covered in artwork, glass chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and warm lighting to help set the mood.

The team behind Illuminati are said to be looking at “new DJs, shows and concepts” going forward. It is now described as “the home of R&B and Afrobeats” and will only open on Fridays and Saturdays, rather than the previous seven days a week, focusing more on those two genres of music.

From its reopening on June 28, Illuminati will be open from 6pm to 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, with the option to host private events the rest of the week. Take a look at some additional photos of the venue in our gallery below…
