Brent crude is trading at $86.90/bbl

Crude oil prices rose by Rs 62 to Rs 6,866 per barrel in futures trade on Friday as participants widened their positions on firm sight demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in July was trading up Rs 62 or 0.91% at Rs 6,866 per barrel in 5,702 lots.

Analysts said increased betting by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trading. Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.81 percent to $82.40 a barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.64 percent higher in New York at $86.90 a barrel.
