Inmate escapes from Pennsylvania Hospital

BRADFORD COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Bradford County Prosecutor’s Office announced that an inmate is on the loose after escaping from the hospital.

Ryan Charles Kitchart, 30, was booked into the Bradford County Correctional Facility on charges related to an incident Tuesday morning, according to the release.

Court documents state that during processing officials noticed something in Kitchart’s abdomen and he was then transported to Towanda Memorial Hospital for evaluation and possible treatment.

Officials say for reasons that are unclear and are being investigated by the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, Kitchart was transported to the hospital without police or corrections personnel.

As stated in the criminal complaint, Kitchart is still at large after law enforcement, including the use of drones, has been unable to locate him since 6:00 a.m. on June 25.
