All 15 of Coventry City’s matches are already broadcast live on Sky Sports in 2024/25

Sky Sports will confirm over the next few days which Saturday matches in the first two months of the Championship season are scheduled for live TV coverage and will subsequently be moved to match the day and time slots.

But there are already 15 Coventry City games from August to May which are in the diary for live broadcast as part of a new five-year £935m deal struck by the EFL.

Sky will show 10 matches on a typical weekend. That’s five from the Championship and five from League 1 and League 2. These will mostly be spread between Friday night and Saturday and Sunday 12.30pm kick-offs, with the occasional Thursday and Monday night games.

The notice periods given to supporters will be much longer than before and Sky has committed to announcing its picks for August and September within a week of the fixture lists being published. January’s FA Cup Third Round Day Picks will be made before the start of the season.

There are other matches we know will be on TV as Sky are showing all the opening and final matches, all midweek matches, all bank holiday matches including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and every tie from the Carabao Cup.

The EFL and Sky confirmed in their announcement statement that “Championship clubs will be live up to 24 times per season” for league games, meaning there are still up to nine City games up for selection.
