Woman stabbed in attack in Sheffield city center as men allegedly flee in vehicle

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a reported stabbing in Sheffield city center in the early hours of this morning.

South Yorkshire Police were called to Rockingham Street at 6.11am on Saturday 29 June 2024 following reports that a woman had been stabbed. A 38-year-old woman is believed to have suffered stab wounds after being approached by a group of men.




Officers confirmed her injuries were not life-threatening.

The men are believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle. Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We were called this morning (June 29) at 6.11am to reports that a woman had been stabbed on Rockingham Street in Sheffield.

“A 38-year-old woman is believed to have suffered stab wounds after being approached by a group of men. The men are believed to have fled the scene in a vehicle.

“The woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A scene remains in place as police investigate.
