Iceland says don’t eat food due to ‘serious health risks’

Frozen food specialist Iceland has issued an urgent recall notice for a product that may pose serious health risks to those with certain allergies. Buyers are asked to return Iceland 4 Golden Savory Rice Steamer Bags due to undeclared allergens.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said the supermarket was advising customers to return the contaminated product for a full refund. The FSA explained that the item could contain crustaceans, fish, milk and molluscs that were not listed on the packaging.




It therefore said: “This means that the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with a shellfish allergy and/or a fish allergy and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and/or an allergy to shellfish “.

The risks apply to 600g bags of Iceland 4 Golden Savory Rice steam bags with a use-by date of 16 November 2025.
