Arsenal are expected to be active in the transfer market in the coming weeks as they aim to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season. Mikel Arteta has transformed the Gunners and are now firmly among the Premier League’s elite.

Having been in the title race for the last two seasons, Arsenal are keen to win the championship this time around.

Arsenal have been linked with several high-profile players in recent months. Now, a report has emerged which suggests they have been offered a ‘phenomenal’ striker.

The player in question is Manchester United striker Jadon Sancho, who had an outstanding season on loan at Borussia Dortmund last year. Despite his impressive performances in the Bundesliga, Sancho appears to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

The report indicates that Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox believes the Ten Hag should give Sancho another chance. However, with “no truce between the parties”, the club plans to move the player on.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to accept a £40m package for Sancho and have approached Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona over a potential move.

Sancho may be out of favor at Manchester United, but his exploits at Dortmund – both last term and on loan last season – demonstrate his exceptional talent. With Dortmund seemingly unable to afford Sancho, Arsenal have an excellent opportunity to sign the striker for a relatively modest fee.

“Jadon Sancho is an incredible talent,” Joe Cole told The Mirror ahead of the Champions League final. “He’s a player I wish I could have coached, really talked to him and helped him.

“There’s no reason why Jadon Sancho can’t be where Jude (Bellingham) is or where Phil Foden is; skill-wise, he’s phenomenal. I feel he needs an arm around his shoulder and he gets it at Dortmund, where he feels like he is at home.”
