Labor candidate Dan Tomlinson

I’m Dan Tomlinson, an experienced economist. I started my career at HM Treasury and recently worked at the UK’s leading anti-poverty charity, leading their work to build a safer economy.

I will use my economic experience to work with Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves to tackle the cost of living crisis and make people here better off.

I live in Whetstone and am raising my little boy here. I am driven by a desire to build a better country and a better Barnet for him and everyone else in our fantastic area of London.

If elected, I will get Barnet’s share of the 1,300 new police officers Labor has pledged to hire in London. This will begin to reverse Tory cuts to the police over the past 14 years.

I will be convening a Barnet car theft summit so that together we can build a plan to tackle this scourge. I will fight for funding for the local NHS to reduce waiting times and support GPs and dentistry. I will make sure we get resources locally to improve our roads and sidewalks.

After 14 years of the Tories, our public services are struggling with reduced budgets and we are all paying the price for the economic mess Downing Street has created. Vote Labor on the 4th of July because it’s time for change here in Chipping Barnet.
