I am a family man living in Hertfordshire near Chipping Barnet who has worked in IT management for thirty years.

I am sick and tired of the state the country is in, from scrapping our taxes to legalizing illegal immigrants, the abandonment of our loyal war vets and pensioners to the cost of living crisis and out of control knife crime and violence in London.

I have a deep commitment to ensuring the safety and improving the quality of life for all residents to bring immediate and impactful change to the area.

Fighting local crime: A Community-Centric Approach: My plan focuses on an increased police presence and community involvement, ensuring residents feel safe and secure. I will reopen local police stations, introduce police booths in shopping centers and increase visible police on the streets.

Addressing local infrastructure issues: My practical solutions are urgent road repairs, no new cycle or bus lanes, fines for cyclists not using cycle lanes.

Ensuring safety for the Jewish community: As a parent of Jewish children, I am deeply concerned by the recent hate marches and am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Jewish residents of Barnet with zero tolerance for hate marches and increased protection for synagogues and Jewish schools.

My campaign is built on creating a safer, more inclusive community where every resident can thrive. By tackling local crime, improving infrastructure and standing firm against hate, I aim to make Barnet a better place for all.

Here’s an overview of the contest and statements from five other candidates: Mark Durrant – Liberal Democrats, David Farbey – Green Party, Richard Hewison – EU Re-entry, Dan Tomlinson – Labor and Theresa Villiers – Conservative.

Barnett Post The Independent reached out to Kay Lauer for a statement, but did not hear back.

Note: Barnett Post approached all candidates for ward seats and gave them the opportunity to make a 250-word statement. The purpose of these statements is to give voters the clearest possible understanding of the prospects of the people they are asking for their support. In doing so, we acknowledge that some views have caused me offense and upset, and we apologize if this is the case.
