The weather map shows when Britain will experience another heatwave in July

Weather maps show deep red for most of the UK as another heat wave is forecast for July. A subtropical Mediterranean air current is likely to trigger another warm spell, sending temperatures back into the 30s, echoing the warm smells from earlier this week.

The Mirror reports that the latest heatwave will peak on Sunday, July 14, according to Netweather. It will be around 30C across Greater London and neighboring countries, with the mercury topping 25C in south-west England, early indications suggest.

However, since the sizzling temperatures on Wednesday (June 26), it has been quite unsettled with heavy rain. Further showers are forecast for today, particularly in parts of the Midlands.

Despite the weather maps, the Met Office’s long-term forecasts see the weather rapidly alternating between wet and dry conditions. In its forecast for mid to late July, the Met Office predicts: “Overall likely to be quite changeable at first with periods of unsettled and cloudy, wet mixed with dry and fine weather, with weather systems that you tend to come from the west.

“This means the west will likely have the wettest conditions, while the east will tend to be drier. By mid-month, there is a signal for more stable conditions to develop, so more in the way of dry weather, though still. with a risk of rain/showers at times Near average temperatures early, but with a better chance of warmer than average conditions later in the period.

Temperatures later this week have struggled to come close to the 30C highs of Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday, they peaked at 22C at Heathrow Airport in west London, almost 10C cooler than the peak of 31C experienced in nearby Surrey on Wednesday.

For Coventry today will be a mostly dry day with bright or sunny spells with a chance of a few well scattered light showers during the afternoon with a high of 19C. Tonight will feel cool with light winds, with a low of 8C.
