Miss England 2024 was spotted at the Indian takeaway in Coventry

The winner of the Miss England 2024 national beauty pageant paid a visit to Coventry this weekend. Milla Magee, 23, made a special stop at new Indian restaurant Janaki in Binley Woods.

Milla’s visit to Coventry was as a guest of the Lions Club of Coventry in Earlsdon, a charity dedicated to community work and fundraising. She also attended a youth event at Lyng Hall School yesterday (June 29).

The youth event included an open day for the Sri Lankan Tamil community, where he had the honor of handing out prizes to the young participants, before heading to Janaki for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Janaki opened its doors in May, run by Alex, Tarun and Gurpreet. The takeaway brings “award-winning dishes” to the menu with a mix of “modernity” for customers to have the best Indian food experience at home, bosses say.

The menu includes a variety of traditional and contemporary dishes from Dal Makhani to Karahi Paneer, as well as chef’s specialties such as Shahi Dawat and Delhi Ki Handi. The restaurant aims to bring a range of ‘soul-satisfying’ takeaway dishes.

One of the owners, Gurpreet Singh Sudan, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Miss England to our business and thank her for cutting the ribbon. Since opening we have been extremely busy and have enjoyed serving many people in the local community. .”
