Chelsea have agreed to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Leicester City to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The fee for the 25-year-old is expected to be in the region of £30m, in line with other offers received by Leicester.

The midfielder is scheduled to complete a medical today and personal terms are in place on a contract until 2030.

The Leicester Academy graduate is seen as ideal for the style of football Chelsea want to play under new head coach Enzo Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge earlier this summer.

The Athletic reported on Friday Chelsea presented an offer to sign Dewsbury-Hall.

He is believed to have turned down the chance to join Brighton & Hove Albion. His contract with Leicester was due to run until 2027.

Dewsbury-Hall started 41 of Leicester’s 46 league games under Maresca last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists as they returned to the top flight at the first time of asking.

He joined Leicester aged eight in 2006 and progressed through the youth system to make his first team debut in 2020.

Brighton held talks over signing Dewsbury-Hall in January but a move never progressed.
