Live as crash closes county roads – updates

Four people are currently being assessed by East Midlands Ambulance Service following a crash in Leicestershire this afternoon (Sunday 30 June). Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said a two-car crash in Twyford Road in South Croxton has closed it in both directions.

The fire service said it received an emergency call at 1.02pm and two fire crews, from Birstall and Melton stations, were called to the incident. It said that initially it was reported that one person was trapped, but now that was not the case.




Leicestershire Police are also in attendance.
