Candidate Statement: Joshua Pearl – Barnet Post

UK Reform candidate for Hendon

Poster for Joshua Pearl, UK Reform candidate for Hendon

As a lifelong resident of Hendon, I support Reform UK to uphold the traditional values that strengthen our community. I believe in low immigration, low taxes and a free NHS at the point of entry that works efficiently for all.

I support low immigration as a solution to the housing crisis and other problems, recognizing that demand is a crucial factor in the supply and demand equation. Reducing immigration will reduce pressure on housing, making homes more affordable and easing pressure on public services.

I support raising the minimum income tax threshold to £20,000 and believe that quantitative easing should be scrapped as it erodes our purchasing power by expanding the money supply. I also support the removal of net-zero targets, which make us poorer without substantially helping the environment. I am also opposed to ugly tower blocks being built in our area.

As a trainee solicitor, I have first-hand experience of the damaging effects of delays in the court system, land registry and probate, and I am committed to pressuring the government to fix these critical systems.

As an Orthodox Jew, I have fostered positive relationships with many Muslims through interfaith discussions at Speakers’ Corner. This commitment to dialogue and understanding can help build a more cohesive and respectful community.

My commitment is to ensure that our community thrives with reduced red tape and improved public services. Let’s work together for a prosperous and harmonious future. A vote for me is a vote to give Hendon a traditionalist voice in Parliament.
