Five Cornish bakeries win World Pastry Awards 2024

Five Cornish bakeries have come out on top at an international pastry awards ceremony. La Liste has announced the winners of its 2024 Pastry Awards

The awards gave recognition to more than 3,000 patisserie shops it considers to be the “crème de la crème” – 199 of those pastry hot spots were in the UK. Speaking about the competition, Time Out explained: “La Liste is a food guide that prides itself on recommending the best hotels and restaurants around the globe. Now, it has influenced the world of pastry.”




The long-standing list features five Cornish bakeries: Baker Tom’s in Falmouth, St Agnes Bakery in St Agnes, St Ives Bakery in St Ives, Da Bara St Mawes Bakery near the east side of Falmouth harbor and St Mawes Bakery. Here’s everything we know about each bakery.

Baker Tom’s

The award-winning bakery is run by Tom Hazzledine, who first opened the business in 2007.
