Chelsea agree £30m deal with Leicester City to sign Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was a key part of Enzo Maresca’s system at Leicester City and is now set to follow his head coach to Chelsea, with the two clubs agreeing a £30m move for him today, according to several reports.

This fee is in line with previous rumors regarding the midfielder, even though previous stories about our interest hinted that we would pay more than that. The 25-year-old is expected to sign a six-year contract until 2030, which seems to be our favorite contract year these days.

KDH is booked for a medical today and could be announced shortly after. Leicester had some PSR concerns, so they will have wanted to formalize this deal before tonight’s reporting deadline for those numbers.

As we’ve seen in several other recent cases, including our dealings with Ian Maatsen and Omari Kellyman with Aston Villa, it could be a player moving the other way to help account for PSR. Young midfielder Michael Golding was the name floated for the idea.
