The new burger place in Sutton, where you won’t have room for dessert

Excitement naturally builds in a community when a new restaurant comes to town, and it’s a great honor to be one of the first to try it.

One thing Sutton doesn’t lack for is restaurants, and on June 9th my parents and I tried out Sutton’s newest addition: The Bun Club on Brighton Road.

After trying the Encanto kitchen, owned by one of the co-owners of The Bun Club, the bar had already been raised, just like our expectations.

In short: Bun Club effortlessly channeled the charm and quality that made Encanto Kitchen a standout.

We received a warm welcome from co-owners Joe and Faisal, who joined forces to open The Bun Club, and were ushered into the gold and black interior.

We were taken to our menus and given a few minutes to make our choices to start.

The extensive menu offers plenty of delicious options, and for starters, I loved the club chicken tenders.

My starters were breaded chicken strips marinated in buttermilk, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, which were wonderfully juicy, and it came with this chipotle sauce that was to die for.

Not just the chipotle sauce, though.

As a huge sauce lover, I was eager to try The Bun Club’s sauces and I was far from disappointed, from the top-secret tangy burger sauce to the smoky barbecue sauce.

My mom loved the lemon garlic wings which came with a cold garlic mayo and were cooked to the perfect temperature, which I ended up sneaking off the plate and putting on mine.

We move on to our main courses where surprisingly we had burgers.

When you read the menu, you almost feel full just imagining how you will feel after serving the burger.

I ordered the Texan Cowboy: buttermilk and fried chicken breaded with cheese, coleslaw, pickles, bacon and buffalo sauce (don’t know what that is).

One word: amazing.

It really was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, from the bun to the creamy carrot in the coleslaw.

My parents ordered the Cheese Burger, which had beef, caramelized onions, pickles, their top secret burger sauce, and American cheese, and the Surf and Turf Burger, which had butterfly shrimp cooked in garlic sauce with caramelized onions, fresh arugula and this. iconic burger sauce again.

They assured me it was delicious and you can easily tell from their facial reaction after the first bite.

In one of the only times I dined out, I had to skip dessert.

The burger filled us to the brim and we left Sutton that evening knowing I wouldn’t eat until the next morning (or even afternoon).

Overall, The Bun Club provided a fantastic experience and I can definitely predict that this burger joint will become a community favorite.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try Sutton’s latest addition to its great food scene.
