Big NFL win for Little Ealing Primary School – EALING.NEWS – The Voice of Ealing 7 Cities

Little Ealing Primary School won the NFL Flag National Championship in Loughborough for the second time and will now take part in the Pro Bowl International Championships in 2025.

Flag football, played by boys and girls, is a non-contact version of American football. This year’s competition was attended by 260 children from 28 schools.

Little Ealing took top position in the Primary School Championship (Under 11) for the second time in three years with a 26-12 win over Cambridgeshire’s Houghton Primary School. The South Ealing team will now travel to the USA in 2025 and take on players from around the world.

Henry Hodgson, Managing Director of NFL UK and Ireland, said: “This was the biggest NFL Flag Championship we have hosted in the UK and it was incredible to see kids from all over the country come together and compete in -a great day. Increasing participation in flag football here is a key priority for the NFL.”

Hodgson added: “We currently have 60,000 young people from over 650 schools playing NFL Flag across the UK and are committed to reaching 100,000 young people in the program by 2026.”
