Local housebuilder boosts cardiac arrest prevention in Cornwall with £1,500 donation to Jay’s Aim

In the UK, the survival rate of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests is just six per cent, compared with 40 per cent in Norway, where CPR is part of the national curriculum. Immediate use of CPR and defibrillation within the first five minutes can increase survival rates to 74%. Jay’s Aim works with the South West Ambulance Service and the Peninsula Cardiologists Network to improve the chances of survival, particularly in areas of deprivation where access to defib and bystander intervention is less common.
