Bristol’s popular garden centre, well known for its Christmas shop on sale

A popular garden center in Bristol has been put up for sale. The site is part of a group of three centers in the South-West.

Whitehall Garden Center in Whitchurch is part of a group of two other centers in Chippenham and Pewsey. Estate agent Christie and Co describes it as “one of the highest turnover garden centers to come onto the open market in recent years”.

With a turnover of around £3.5m, the site sits on 7.65 acres of vacant land. Just 4 miles from the center of Bristol, Christie and Co say the property would make “an excellent portfolio addition for any existing garden center operator”.

Many will know Whitchurch Garden Center for its extraordinary Christmas displays dubbed ‘the best in Bristol’. The garden center is conveniently located off the A37 and is an established business with a good local reputation.

There is also a farm shop and restaurant on site, as well as a large shop selling garden furniture, gifts and homewares. The plot is listed at £5 million.

A spokesman for Christie and Co said: “The directors are just trying to have a little less work. They are withdrawing from the general operation of all three sites”.
