Tragedy in the Straight Mile when a young motorcyclist dies after a car accident

A young motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Warwickshire. The woman was not identified, but was 26 years old.

She was riding a motorbike which collided with a car on the B4453 Straight Mile near the junction with Frankton village at 4pm yesterday afternoon (June 30). Warwickshire Police immediately closed the stretch of road near Bourton on Dunsmore yesterday (Sunday June 30).




Sadly, a spokesman for the force said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers,” the spokesman said.

Investigations are ongoing and PC Pearson from Warwickshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit says they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the collision. “He is appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has dashcam footage of the area to contact him,” the force spokesman added.

Anyone with information can either go online to the police website or call 101 quoting incident number 215 of June 30.
