Kasabian welcome ‘the most epic’ Glastonbury crowd ahead of homecoming gig in Leicester

Kasabian have . The secret show came just days before their return show in Leicester this weekend.

The rockers made a surprise appearance at Worthy Farm on Saturday (June 29) after the Woodsies set was only billed as TBA to thousands of festival-goers. Rumors had been circulating for hours earlier that the Leicester band would appear at Glastonbury, with the act only confirmed just before they took to the stage.

The set featured a number of the band’s biggest hits, including the anthemic ‘Fire’, which delighted the packed audience. The band have since hailed the crowd for giving it “everything they had”.

Fatboy Slim’s ‘Praise You’ and The Prodigy’s ‘Firestarter’ make an appearance, as does Dee-Lite’s even more surprising ‘Groove Is In The Heart’.

It was a set that was a treat for the fans, while Kasabian themselves were also pleased with how it went.

The band said: “Thank you for tearing the place up, locking down the tent! It was the most epic experience of our lives. Each of you gave everything you had. There was something supernatural about that show.”
