‘Precious daughter’ with ‘wonderful smile for everyone’ dies aged 37

Tributes have been paid to a “precious daughter” who died aged just 37. Laura Pearce is described as a “beloved wife”, a much-loved daughter-in-law and a “devoted” aunt.

He passed away after a short illness which was “bravely borne”. She is survived by her husband Dean, stepdaughter Shelby, mother Jeanette, sisters Karenza, Anna, Emma and brother Martin.




A celebration of Laura’s life will be held on Friday, July 12, and guests are asked to wear bright colors.

The full tribute said: “Laura May, aged 37, passed away at her mother’s home, Polgwin, surrounded by her family, after a short and bravely borne illness.

“Beloved wife of Dean, step-mother of Shelby, cherished daughter of Jeanette, sister of Karenza, Anna, Emma and Martin, much-loved daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and devoted ‘Aunty’.”

After news of Laura’s death was shared online, tributes poured in on social media.

Jess Devereaux wrote: “Such a ray of sunshine with bags of positivity. Life is so cruel sometimes.”

And Jean Miners commented: “My thoughts go out to all of Laura’s family. You will certainly be greatly missed Laura, you always had that wonderful smile for everyone. RIP Laura.”

Loraine Hoar added: “Thinking of all Laura’s family and friends.”

Then Sophie Louise Morton said: “May he finally rest in peace.”

A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at Penmount Truro Crematorium on Friday 12th July at 2pm, Trelawny Chapel. At the family’s request, please wear bright colors.
