3 hours agoOakland Athletics designated hitter Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Saturday’s 8-1 win over the Mariners, extending his hitting streak to five games. It was his fifth multi-hit performance in the last eight games. Rooker is on fire in May, going 15-for-34 (.441) with three doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored and a 6:7 BB:K. The 29-year-old’s .284 average may not hold, but after a 30-base campaign in 2023 and a 17.2% barrel% in 2024, he looks to be on his way to 30 again.—Jarod Rupp – RotoBaller
