Child injured in incident at Canons C of E Primary School in Bedworth

A young child has been injured following an incident in Bedworth. It appears to have happened at The Canons C of E Primary School.

Paramedics were called to Derwent Road at around 12.30pm on Friday (June 28). Crews found a child injured, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

Doctors discovered the toddler had suffered injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening. Crews took the child, who has not been named, to Coventry University Hospital in Coventry.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 12.32pm to an injured patient on Derwent Road in Bedworth. An ambulance intervened.

“Crews assessed a child who suffered injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening and was taken to Coventry University Hospital for further treatment.”
