UFC star Paddy ‘the Bady’ Pimblett is still speechless over what Jurgen Klopp told him at the party

Paddy “the Badddy” Pimblett is still stunned by what Jurgen Klopp told him at the former Liverpool FC manager’s farewell party.

The UFC star was one of the few people not employed by the club to attend the legendary German’s departure at the Titanic Hotel in May. The Huyton-born fighter told the ECHO that meeting Klopp was one of the best moments of his life.

“Even now, I’m just amazed.” On his BOSS podcast which he co-hosts with Jamie Webster, Paddy explained how he initially gained access to another part of the end-of-season party and planned to leave before Klopp discovered him. He said: “There were two separate rooms and I was given the wristband for the corporate room.

“None of the players and that. He ended up nodding and I said, ‘Oh, I’m just being asked for pictures here, let’s go.’ However, the moment he came out was when Klopp arrived with the Liverpool players and the former boss insisted the UFC star stay when he hailed Paddy as “the machine”.

Paddy decided to stay and was part of a night that will live long in the memory as stunning pictures shared by Thiago Alcantara’s wife Julia Vigas showed a packed party on the dance floor at the Freed From Desire de Gala Rizzatto . Klopp and Paddy were some of the faces spotted on the dance floor and the striker explained how he thanked the manager for the transformative effect he had on the club.

He told the ECHO: “I got to speak to him there, I got to give him a hug and a kiss and I said ‘lad, you don’t know what you’ve done for this town. You don’t understand, me. I love you and the rest of Liverpool loves you’.

“I’ll never forget that moment. I don’t think I’ll ever be speechless, the only person I might be speechless is Jurgen Klopp and I was. There’s a photo my friend took right away and I was just in shock Jurgen guy is on me.”

Moments like this have followed Paddy throughout his incredible rise to the top of MMA. The fighter was able to share many stories like this with his close friend and fellow UFC fighter, Molly McCann.

The pair star in a new BBC reality series called Show No Mersey, which arrived on iPlayer today. In an interview with the ECHO, Molly explained how the main equivalent of Paddy’s meeting with Klopp was when she was publicly greeted by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

She laughed: “The Rock did a montage with me doing the People’s Elbow and he called it the Meatball’s Elbow.”

Paddy and Molly managed to have an incredible “pinch me” moment together when they were presented with Rolex by Drake, Molly said she never takes it for granted that she enjoyed the journey to the top of MMA with her close friend.

She added: “The things we managed to do we probably couldn’t even say on camera to be fair.

“There are moments that we shared, especially when we were traveling around the world, and I think that’s a life. The shit we get and the hate we get can stop you when you know we live like this. good life.

“Even when we’re going through this, it’s like we have a roof over our heads, we’re fighting and we have our dream job.”
