CHARLOTTE, NC — Sources say an officer has been shot in southwest Charlotte.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on Steele Creek Road between Dorcas Lane and Markswood Road.

Several roads have been closed in the area as the officer is rushed to a local hospital. Expect delays.

No other details have been released at this time. WCCB has a crew on scene.
