Filippo Ganna and Magnus Sheffield prepare for the Paris Olympics at the Tour of Austria

There’s no other WorldTour race taking place near the Grande Boucle, however, that doesn’t mean the cycling world has stopped spinning for a month. Throughout July, we’ll see a number of popular week-long stage races across Europe, starting with the traditional Tour of Austria.

The INEOS Grenadiers approach the race with real ambition to fight for the stages, if not the GC with more cards. The most striking is the name of Filippo Ganna, who will compete in Austria despite the lack of kilometers on the clock in the 6-day stage race. For the Italian it is the last meeting before the Olympics, where he has ambitions both on the road and on the track.

The same goal is driving Magnus Sheffield, who will represent the United States in Paris, took some rest after finishing the Giro d’Italia (as did Ganna) and will now use Austria to fine-tune his form in preparation. for Paris are culminating.
