A 19-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after being stabbed in Sheffield.

Police were called to White Hart Lane in Oughtibridge by the ambulance service at 9.09pm on Sunday after receiving reports of a serious assault.

A 19-year-old man was reportedly stabbed in the abdomen and is still in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Detectives also believe an attempted robbery on Knowles Avenue earlier that day may be related.

A scene is on both roads, and the police are questioning a 20-year-old man, suspected of the fight.

Anyone who may have witnessed either incident or has information or footage from the dashboard is urged to come forward.
