Housing association and council moving

Jo Barrett is now Executive Director of Strategy, Governance and Assurance at Eastlight Community Homes

Elliott Sweetman steps up to be interim executive director of Barnet Group, a council-owned trading company in north London which, among its jobs, runs Barnet Homes. This follows the departure of Tim Mulvenna. Mr Sweetman was previously Group Director of Real Estate and has held other senior roles within the Group, including Group Director of Operations and Property.

Carol Dover was appointed deputy executive director of Two Rivers Housing, as part of an executive restructuring. Ms. Dover has been the organization’s corporate resource officer since 2019 and was previously head of finance at Connexus.

Wanda certain Rebecca Escott-New as executive director of corporate services, a newly created role. Previously, Ms Escott-New was director of strategy, planning and compliance at Crisis.

Eastlight Community Houses promoted four executives to executive positions as part of a streamlining of senior leadership. David Mullenformerly Chief Financial Officer, now Chief Financial Officer; Joe Barrettpreviously director of strategy and assurance, is now executive director of strategy, governance and assurance; Andrew Hull, formerly Chief Development Officer, is now Chief Operating Officer; and Charlotte Toddpreviously director of property, is now executive director of property.

David Boden started as Director of Asset Operations at Group of houses on the platform. Previously, Mr. Boden was Director of Repairs and Field Services at Places for People.

Umbrellas certain Helen Wilson as regional general manager of the group’s recently created South region. Previously, Ms Wilson was Head of Housing (North London) at Clarion.

Basingstoke and Deane District Council appointed two new staff members: Sarah Hello as head of major projects and development and Grant Thornton as a regeneration manager.

Bronwen Rapley was appointed chairman of the campaign alliance Homes for the north. Ms Rapley is Chief Executive of Onward Homes and Vice President of the National Housing Federation.

Richard McCarthy was appointed president of FAHHA, the for-profit housing association subsidiary of Funding Affordable Homes. Mr McCarthy’s previous roles include chief executive of Peabody and president of the National Housing Federation.

Saint Mungo has announced Mike Adamson as its next chairman of trustees. Mr Adamson’s previous roles include Chief Executive of the British Red Cross and Acting Director of the Global Commission on Modern Slavery and Trafficking.

Mairi MacRae was named as Shelterhis new director of campaigns, policy and communications, replacing Osama Bhutta. Ms MacRae was previously assistant director of advocacy and activism at the charity.

Communities that worka national body for social landlords to support people in work, has appointed two new board members: Jenny Jackson and Nic McGrath. Ms Jackson is Tenancy and Employment Support Manager at Futures Housing Group and Ms McGrath is Director of Newground Together.
