The exact time the 2024 general election result for Nuneaton will be announced

Voters across the country go to the polls in less than 48 hours for the 2024 General Election. Locals in Nuneaton will be asked to decide who they want to represent their voice in Parliament.

It has been confirmed that a record number of people have registered to vote this year. The number is 71,483, up by over 1,000 from the last general election in 2019, when 70,226 people took part.

Polling stations in the city will open between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. All votes will then be taken to the Jubilee Sports Center off Greenmoor Road to be counted.

The all-important result will be declared on Friday morning (5th July) at 3am. All eyes across the country will be on the result as the city has become a ‘belwether’.

That’s because Nuneaton has become an indicator of how the rest of the country will vote and could offer a glimpse of who will take the keys to Downing Street. The seat has been held by the Conservatives for the past 14 years.

CoventryLive will be at the local count to bring you all the news as it happens.
