Chelsea complete fourth summer signing as Leicester midfielder arrives in £30m deal

Chelsea have announced the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City on a five-year contract.

The 25-year-old joined the Blues in a £30m deal.

Dewberry-Hall was a key member of Leicester’s first team last season as they won the Championship title to earn an immediate return to the Premier League.

The English footballer expressed his delight at his move to Stamford Bridge.

He said: “It’s amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player. This is a club that people grow up for and hope to play for one day, so it’s a privilege to be here.

“I’m really excited to get going and can’t wait to show everyone what I can do.”

The midfielder played in 44 league games, scoring 12 goals and 14 assists.

His future in the Midlands has been the source of speculation this summer despite being contracted to the Foxes until 2027.

He looked set to head to Brighton & Hove Albion after they agreed a swap deal involving Jakub Moder.

However, the move eventually fell through, allowing Chelsea to follow him.

The Blues have been very busy in the summer transfer window.

They brought in centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer and secured a £19m deal for Omari Kellyman.

Marc Guiu also arrived on Monday in a £5m move from Barcelona.
