When the next heat wave will hit the West Midlands

The West Midlands is set to experience a mini heatwave later this month, where temperatures could soar to 24C. The mercury is set to rise on Saturday, July 13, sweeping Britain into temperatures in the mid-20s.

A new weather map shows the West Midlands region will experience temperatures of 22C, 23C and 24C. While the English capital of London is set to enjoy 26C, MyLondon reports.




It will be a welcome sight for Britons who have experienced a relatively mixed start to July. In the West Midlands, the Met Office has forecast outbreaks of heavy rain moving into the region overnight on Tuesday 2 July.

While on Wednesday July 3, the forecaster said we could expect a “mainly cloudy day” with “showers and a few longer spells of rain”. Looking ahead for Thursday to Saturday, July 4-6, the Met Office said: “Drier and brighter Thursday.

“Probably longer spells of rain on Friday. Brighter again on Saturday with sunny spells and scattered showers. Windy everywhere. Slightly below average temperatures.”
