ITV period drama remake filmed in Bristol – in pictures

Bristol’s historic Christmas Steps were transformed into a 1920s drama set as filming began for ‘The Forsyte Saga’. The local pub now forms part of the period backdrop for the series based on John Galsworthy’s acclaimed novels.

The new series is reportedly being produced by ITV. However, the television company is yet to make an official announcement or reveal the cast.

But Bristol Live got behind the filming which took place today, Tuesday July 2, with star power flooding the set. The likes of Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson, BAFTA winner Francesca Annis and Jack Davenport from ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘Ten Percent’ have been spotted on set.
