UK households get £375 for summer living costs but ‘scheme is limited’

UK households can claim payments worth £375 in a major cost of living increase. Residents on low incomes can apply online for a small grant from the Tandridge Household Support Fund, the local authority has confirmed after being handed the government money.

The application process will close when all funds have been allocated. Residents can apply even if they have received a grant from this fund before.

Eligible households with children will receive £375 and households without children will receive £175. At the time of application, residents must upload three bank statements from March to May 2024 showing all transactions or their application will be rejected.
