Two men arrested after Leeds fan left covered in blood following attack outside Norwich Stadium

Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested after a Leeds fan was left covered in blood following an attack after Sunday’s game against Norwich.

The Championship rivals were playing in a play-off semi-final first leg which ended in a 0-0 draw, but scenes looked to have taken an ugly turn after the game at Carrow Road.

According to a Leeds season ticket holder on X, his father was the victim of an attack outside the stadium, having his throat slashed with a knife and a full can thrown at him.

The fan, going by their X handle @DorsetHottub, says the Leeds supporters came out of the far section of the pitch chanting ‘Galatasaray’ and ‘Turks with knives’.

The alleged sick chants referred to two Leeds supporters who were killed before the 2000 UEFA Cup semi-final against Galatasaray in Istanbul.

“My dad just got his throat cut out of the ground,” wrote Xuser @DorsetHottub.
